The lag is unbearable. I turned off all mods and yet the frame rate is a miserable 18fps in the editor. In-game it drops to 12-16. It used to be 60 in the editor and over 40 in-game with same creation. I used a mac on steam and this lag issue is very annoying. I tested the 1.8.0 and this is the same thing.
Hollow Fuselage. It is disappointing. Please add an "opening" to the side, which makes U-shaped fuselages possible. Hear me out on it... please. It will make life so much more bearable. The difficulty of making a nicer curved piece of the fuselage has discouraged me from playing this game time to time.

Switching to 1400x900 in game FPS still slower. Sent you a screenshot but lost yesterday Due to web hosting trouble. The pic shows 1.7 runnning at 41FPS in High Graphic Settings with 1600 part creation. I also sent you another pic showing how Extreme the window size problem is. @AndrewGarrison Im trying to find their Imgur link rn
1400x900 (resent) @AndrewGarrison
I got ur message it didn’t work @NathanMikeska
@Winstonlharambe
Not sure if you got my last message because of the web hosting trouble yesterday...
Try running the game with the "-force-glcore" launch option (without quotes).
* Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties.
* Under the General tab click the Set launch options... button.
* Enter the launch options you wish to apply (be sure to separate each code with a space) and click OK.
* Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.
No it’s only integrated. But I never have had this problem before the unity update @NathanMikeska
@Winstonlharambe Do you have a dedicated GPU in your laptop? It looks like the game is running on low power integrated graphics.
Heres the link again @AndrewGarrison
Are you getting any errors in your dev console? Would it be possible to get your log file?
Exactly @jamesPLANESii
Then we could make large smooth corners in cockpits without huge chunks protruding into them or without using 4x the number of parts that we need. @GeneralOliverVonBismarck
For me the performance is pretty much the same just that using some of the buttons is slow and lowers the framerate, I hope that get's fixed because it wasn't there Before.
What I want with hollow fuselages is that parts won't fall right through if they start inside which they do now, they are like the inlets sadly.
The lagging is very bad on mine. FPS went down an equivalent of 160% from 1.7 @CoolPeach
I haven’t noticed any dramatic lagging on my Mac, but certainly it was better in 1.8.0.0 than it is now in 1.8.1.0. Still an overall improvement from 1.7
Yeah we need quarter and half hollow fuselages. Even more important than normal hollow fuselages I think.
also your supposed to report bugs to the beta bug report page that is linked on the beta announcement post.....
i think its lagging is because your not supposed to be using it on apple products, at the bottom of the beta notice it says that they are waiting approval of beta availability from the apple company, and a mac is an apple product. might be the problem might not idk. i run windows with only an i3 proscesser and have no issues.
Ha @Notaleopard

The Lag is a Female
The lag never goes away... it likes me... and I hate it yet can't run away from it
