Hi All. Currently building a helicopter with a Fenestron tail rotor using the new parts on the latest release, however I am having difficulty making this work due to the main rotor's torque
I have tried the following using XML:
1> Giving the tail rotor 5x stronger power
2> Making the thickness obscenely huge
3> Blade count must be 8 (used XML to fix)
I have also tried:
1> Reducing the main rotor's power
2> Using VTOL thrusters as a mock-up tail rotor.
The only thing that seems to work is making the blade diameter of the tail rotor bigger, making Fenestron too large to be a good replica.
Any suggestions? Both in or out of XML would be fantastic...
Edit: If there is an XML function to reduce the main rotor's torque - I would appreciate if anyone could share this information...
Edit: Solved -
XML line: collectiveTorque="0" cyclicMotorDragTorque="0"
Thanks @Rsouissi!! found the line from your other post
There is a section which is RotorPerfScalars @Falkenwut
@Rsouissi Do you know the XML line for that?
try to set the torque of the main rotor to 0
