    Everyone: Battleships are outdated
    Nevada: A few armament upgrades here, some armor there, some reactors over here and profit everywhere

    this should be good
    Its not a Montana Class but its an Iowa class, which is a closely related variant.

    Shouldn't be that hard
    all he needs is a USS Montana, which someone has probably built. Then he can just build off of that.

    Also, if your gonna make this part of your navy, you or someone else has to build it

    The thing is still gonna be damn slow, expensive to make, and a big target, especially by today’s standard @HellRaiser

    @xGeneralFischx Battleships, thought to be outdated, have had a much more modern spice added to their arsenal. The main battery can house APFSDS-DU out of a 62 caliber 406 mm gun. That's a lot of speed, which, in turn, can make it so it's firepower is on par, if not better than the Navy's new Railgun. It's presence at the sea is very frightening, and this battleship isn't all bark, it's all about the bite, and oh boy does it pack a deadly one.

    Even more secondary turrets with a single 183-mm auto-loader and it's AA replaced with the OTO Breda Cannone da 76/62 Autocannon. It's AA that is 20mm or less have all been replaced by Phalanx CIWS units, able to shoot down aircraft and missiles.

    It is powered by a beefed up nuclear reactor, powering this beast to 30 knots. Advanced fire control means shots are much more accurate compared to previous battleship designs; even the old Joshua Graham can't match this firepower.

    It is always escorted by Heavy Cruisers, ligther Battleships, lots of Destroyers and some submarines.

    @xGeneralFischx
    Modern Navies favor Destroyers and Frigates.
    Lots of weaponry in a compact and manouvreble ship.

    Battleships, in their day were slow and often easy targets when on their own, Nowadays, Battleships do not have the firepower advantage they had, and are often expensive to procure.

    Why you still invested in battleships
