I don’t know what to do? Call the FAA? I have film and a good view of the gear.
I honestly have no idea what to do? And FAA guys? I’ll have a video link in a few hours on YouTube (I can retake people if need be).
I know it was a gear issue because when he put his gear down he saw non 3 green and did a low go around. Then he flew where ground crew could see the gear and confirm it’s down but not locked. On his last attempt he came in low and slow, nose high trying to keep the front wheel up as long as he could and not touching down for a long time. This is not detailed but I’ll have a video on what I saw and it will be a full length clip. I could tell there was an issue because of all the emergency services on the runway.
It was filmed on a iPone 6S so it’s not the best.
Ask to be restated for the link to the video when posted. Maybe tomorrow unless otherwise.
Very true, that’s what I told my mom that it wouldn’t even be that big of news @Kerbango
If there was any issue, the media could find a way to blow it up @Kerbango
No problem @ACEPILOT109
The thing is, to be honest. If the plane didn't crash it's not news. Nobody cares unless there's bodies on the runway or Mountainside.
I’m not to sure to be honest @TheMutePaper
Yeah, I mean I know it’s most likely already filmed and stuff like that I guess I could be a wittiness because I did see all of happen from the first go around to the landing. Thank you, @CRJ900Pilot
Being that KIAH is a major UAL hub and a former Continental Base, it should be taken care of, unless IAH isn't maintenance base.
If you send it to the news you could probably get interviewed, so idk. Its up to you and your family @ACEPILOT109
To be honest, no. You probably would have wasted their time. Also ground crew and other FAA staff would have had been able to get a clearer view of the plane from their vantage point. Although it wouldn't have helped, it was a very noble idea and it shows you are a considerate person. @ACEPILOT109
Well they did it and the planes stopped, I’m at home and ik it’s recorded and stuff but would it help at all? Like sending it to the news or something of that nature? @CRJ900Pilot
I wouldn't do anything and let the pilots and ATC handle it. Its happened before in the past and the pilots are trained to handle it as safely as possible
