So, I have already completed the Sprint that took place in Chino on January 26th (I live in SoCal, so I can only do races held there), and I thought to myself, "Why not challenge myself with a race that's OVER 4 TIMES LONGER?"
(BTW, the Sprint is a 3-mile, 20 obstacle race. It's the shortest one.)
Yep, I'm doing the Big Bear Beast, a 13-mile obstacle course Spartan Race that winds its way up and down Big Bear Mountain. It has 30-35 grueling obstacles, like the Atlas Carry. You approach a 115lb round stone, lift it out of the 1/2 foot deep hole (with the extra 10-15lbs of mud caked on), carry it 5 yards, drop it, do 5 burpees, pick it up (again), then carry it back, drop it, and continue.
I'm not going to sugarcoat anything, but it's going to be a pain in the neck (for rules' sake, I'm using "neck", and not [donkey])
Here's some more info, if you're interested, although there are no more volunteer spots available.
NP, @StukaCover My average grade in PE is an A+ (107.9%)
Goodness, don't strain yourself.
