Yo peeps this is a guide thingy on how to get your planes to have more upvotes. This will get your planes to have more upvotes, and maybe win’t give you more points. Because some things that gives you more upvotes won’t give you more points lol.
1. Put effort into your builds
Have a high standard for ‘good enough’ with your builds. Be almost OCD when a detail kinda sucks (but don’t put it off your build when you can’5 get it right) Also It’s almost impossible to build anything notable in under two hours. And lack of effort is pretty obvious, so be patient.
2. Paint your creation well
Paint it so it has contrasting colours that are appropriate to the vehicle. Also paint it so it stands out against the background you are using, and stands out against other planes around it. I’ve seen a lot of really good creations that could have done really well if the person didn’t paint the thing black and grey and have a really terrible colour scheme.
3. Make your designs look different from your previous designs. (Make your design original
There’s a few good builders out there who are really good at building, but all their planes look really similar to each other, and thus get far less upvotes than what they should get.
Don’t use a similar paint scheme on every single one of your aircraft. Don’t repeat main features on all your planes such as entire front ends. If you rebuild a plane from the past, make sure it’s a year or so old, and has a distinguishably different livery from the old one.
4. Make a good teaser for your plane that have good pictures, also T to be tagged
Teasers are made to get people excited for the release of the plane so they can download it. If your teaser is a single picture of a black plane at night, nobody is going to be interested. If you only post a single random picture of the plane that’s completely generic, nobody is going to be interested. Make an effort in making the teaser exciting such as using a lot of pictures and showing the vehicle in action and stuff.
5. Take good screenshots
Make the first screenshot so you can see the whole vehicle clearly (don’t chop anything off either unless it’s wing tips or rotor blades). Make the vehicle in the centre of the picture. Use an appropriate background to make the features of the vehicle stand out, or if not available, paint the vehicle in a way that it stands out and looks good. Show what the rest of the plane looks like in the second screenshot, make it ideally from the rear and below (unless it’s a boat or car or something and them make it rear and above). The last screenshot should be of a main feature of the build, such as the interior or cockpit, or a really cool part of the livery.
Make a good effort when taking your screenshots, because they’re the main things that are gonna make people click.
6. Make a good description
Nobody is going to take note of a wall of text. Nobody is going to know how to fly your plane if you don’t give them the controls.
Give your descriptions headings, so people can skip to the important information, give your descriptions snazzy screenshots of your plane.
7. Upload at a good time
I generally find 10:00 AM NZST is the best time to upload as it’s when pretty much everyone is awake. If you have less followers, uploading at the right time can give you a massive bonus because a lot more people are going to see your plane.
8. Don’t upload too often
(This post is for people complaining about not getting enough upvotes, so yeah lol) But it’s true. When you upload like every second day, people are going to get bored of your content, and won’t get no hype when you upload something. Upload about twice a week maximum with two high quality builds. You may not quite get as many points out of this, but people will get more interested in your builds and you’ll see the upvotes beginning to stream in.
That’s all :)
@IMTRYING Make a forum and put pictures in it?
@spadez Somebody please answer this
@BACconcordepilot i made a meme post (the ohio flag) and a teaser for it and got 20 upvotes overall
Thanks for the help though mah dude
Lol I looked this up idk why
This is inspirational to build planes :)
Thanks Champ, hope this will work
Hoping for someone to upvote my creations
@PlaidHatGuy (Below)
Forgot to tag you lol
You take screenshots of your plane, then you upload them to a website where you can get a URL for your pics like a discord server, then you go to the forums and make one with a clickbaity title and do ![](image link) for pics
can someone help me how to upload a teaser im still new to this game or website
hahahahaha
Now that I am silver I do need to add more detail and effort. Suppose this will help.
Done @Jetliner101
Oh yes! @Jetliner101
Ye @SnoWFLakE0s
@jamesPLANESii great, might as well make a video compiling starter tips later on
I’ll add that in now @SnoWFLakE0s
Ye I forgot about that one lol @SnoWFLakE0s
@jamesPLANESii One more to add. Make a good description. A crappy description or a nonexistent one completely puts me off. I personally take time to pre-write my descriptions for about 10 minutes at the very least.
I'd say I check out for all 6 tips. My biggest problem as a builder currently is how I make a plane or project, and right as its 80%-90% done, I go start another project. Now I have a literal backlog of at least 8 or 10 projects I haven't finished.
T
self-roasted!
@RailfanEthan
The third tip remind me hopotumon, he literraly uploading the same design everytime with another paintwork
Don’t upload too often
i got that one in the bag
don't forget rule 7: Disregard all previous rules and make a rant post about not getting enough upvotes!
(also the painting it black and grey thing feels personal oof)
