With the fuselage blocks in the game now, most of my planes have way more fuel than they need because I just use the has to easily move the CoM. I have to admit it does effect the handling though.
@XVIdarkLithium You can still accomplish that, just make sure the fuel tanks are connected to the cockpit. You can make torpedos/missiles with cameras and VTOL nozzles on them.
Well, the way I see it is, this game is meant to simulate planes right? Well, they took away the bug because we need to deal with the problem of fuel, just like a real plane. But still, I think there should at least be an OPTION for infinite fuel.
It is two blocks in one, so you'll have to make sure it's in the spot that you want. Once it's placed you'll have to throw away the two pieces and pull a new one out of your sub assemblies.

@AndrewGarrison With modding, making a perfect flyingaircraft attaches it to a carrier, detachs and the engines don't work even when fuel is on board

@AndrewGarrison thoughts on adding it back into the game? Make a poll to see if it's wanted!
we need the engine bug back, so torpedoes and missles work
I'm for infinite as an option. The early style helicopters use so much fuel its not practical. And they were easier to fly too.

Why can't we just have the bug fix removed?

@Bakon I know for a fact that his works well. I'll see if I can find it.
No point planes more realistic now
@TheLatentImage I tried one, not his, it didn't work.
Nickasarusrex has a fuel cell mod that is nearly unlimited but has a pretty low weight. I think it's pretty useful.
YES WE DO
THE FIXING OF THE BUG RUINED SO MANY OF MY PLANES
