After 4 days of searching an Osprey II strike fighter from the SWS Euryalus, a Vengeance-class heavy-deck destroyer, chanced upon the Algorithm submarine on the surface north-west of Guam. Diving to attack, the Osprey fired two rounds of rockets, one of which was seen to strike the conning tower and the other straddled the reactor.
Under the guidance of the SWS Euryalus's aircraft a Fury-class frigate and two Warburg Navy destroyer escorts closed in for the kill. The stricken submarine attempted to ram a destroyer escort, but this action was countered by gunfire from the other two ships. Eventually a combined assault force boarded the Algorithm vessel and after a short firefight in which two Algorithm soldiers were killed and an SMC Security officer wounded the allied forces took over the boat.
The captain and senior officers were discovered dead in the control room, evidently by suicide, and the rest of the staving crew was locked in the forward torpedo room.
The SWS Euryalus took the submarine under tow, but unfortunately during the night the heavily-damaged submarine sank. All prisoners and the prize crew were rescued by the SWS Euryalus and USS Renegade, a Warburg destroyer escort.

The SWS Euryalus has take on the Algorithm prisoners and is due to arrive off NovrdLisch in three days. They may be forwarded on to the Conegsreich Republic if they want them.
