I'm so happy that the devs made a tournament, but I've been concerned about the number of people asking questions that should be in the Tournament Guide.
So without further ado, here's a more in-depth definition of the Unlimited class.
.
WEAPONS:
are not allowed. The devs can't remove them for you, they can't be deactivated, no weapons, period. Even if they're just for decoration, they'll get you banned.
Using Cleavers for propulsion is banned.
.
XML:
is only allowed in Mod class tournaments. You cannot do anything with XML in unlimited tournaments. Do not change anything on your plane, even for cosmetic means. It will get you in a lot of trouble.
.
ENGINES:
Anything is allowed, from prop engines to car engines (though I don't see how that would help). I find jet-prop combinations to be the most efficient, though how you design it is totally up to you.
.
IN-GAME NUDGING/ROTATING:
is allowed. Unlimited basically means anything you can do with stock SP.
.
GOOD TIMES:
an okay race time is 2-2:30, a good one is under 1:30, and an excellent one is 1:30 and under.
.
OTHER PLAYER'S CREATIONS:
cannot even be borrowed from. Your plane must be 100% yours. You can modify a previous plane that you made.
.
HELPFUL STUFF:
The Tournament Validator mod.
