Whenever I post a plane, I just say IconTech. Now, a company can't wage war, right? So I decided to create a country that IconTech is based in. Also, this is going to help RPs and stuff like that. Anyways, behold, Sabaria!

Geography & Government

The geography of Sabaria is much like its bordering nations, which would make sense. It has mostly alpines and marshes to the north, making it very inhospitable to live there. The temperatures in the north can drop very low, normally around -18 degrees Fahrenheit in the Winter. During summer it’s normally around 40-50 degrees. Because of the Wildlife Preservation Act of 1920, clearing of the marshes is banned. This poses a big problem for the commercial zones, but there isn’t anything the government can do about it. The southern region is quite different, with grasslands and small hills mostly. Sej Nevan is a very popular mountain range, with beautiful evergreens and small ponds mostly. There are advanced and beginner hiking trails for anyone looking for a walk in nature. The Southeast region is probably the hottest area, having temperatures going up to 75 degrees Fahrenheit in the Summer. The Sabarian government is a democratic republic and takes votes annually. The Sabarian government is led by a First Minister who is in charge of public matters and governing over the different cities. The First Minister also has the order to declare war and issue a lockdown. All of the branches of government have to say yes for either of those to take effect. The Ministry of International Relations (MOIR) is in charge of diplomacy and keeping tensions low. Of course, there are many other branches as well, but it wouldn’t accomplish anything to list them all here.

Allies & Diplomacy

Sabaria is a part of a few major international pacts, such as NATO, (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) and the UN (United Nations). Sabaria is also allied to some other countries around it, such as the Krakabloan Republic, the Ismonian Isles, and the very powerful Wolf Empire. Some smaller allies that Sabaria supplies weapons to are: the Terminian Union, New Plymouth, and Erae. Sabaria is currently at war with two countries, however both were because our allies were in need of assistance. The Iron Empire is one of such countries, however they aren’t a threat anymore and Sabaria provides raw materials to them.

Military Force

Sabaria has quite a big military presence, with a total of 3.27 million infantry units ready to be mobilized at any notice, 882,872 mechanized vehicles, 548,967 mobile armor units, 13,358 Home Army Soldiers (Basically the Royal Guard) ready to be mobilized, 431 naval combatants, and 983,673 aerial combatants. Sabaria doesn’t have any nuclear weapons (With the exception of small tactical nuclear weapons) , rather, they have high-explosive thermobaric weaponry at their disposal, with the intention of deterring the enemy and taking out a large portion of their forces. The thermobaric weapons do not cause nuclear fallout, one of the reasons why Sabaria chooses not to use nuclear warheads.

Aircraft

Sabaria produces many aircraft for both export and use for the country. Sabaria is mostly known for the aircraft that it exports, and a lot of of the Sabarian economy (From exporting, that is) is from selling vehicles, though most of Sabaria’s military arsenal is not currently being exported, with the exception of a few vehicles specifically for that purpose. Some of Sabaria’s older tech is also sold to smaller countries around it if it has a successor. However, most of Sabaria’s older vehicles are scrapped for more resources.

Conflicts

Sabaria has had many conflicts during its time, and I would like to share a few with you.

The Sabarian Cold War:

The Sabarian Cold War happened during 1983-1986, and wasn’t that similar to that of the Cold War between the US and USSR. The Sabarian Cold War was a small war that happened between a few islands in the Krakabloan Archipelago as well as some territories around Sabaria. New Plymouth was probably hit the hardest during the war, as it is in between the Wolf Empire (Formerly The United Federation at the time of the Sabarian Cold War). It was also an arms race, but not for nuclear weapons. During the turning point of the war, it turned to winter in a Sabarian-influenced country, Erae, and TUF soldiers began to freeze to death and retreat. The most casualties were during this point in the war, from friendly fire, the freezing temperatures, and starvation. Both sides were preying on each other’s supply convoys, making it so both factions were getting very little supplies. Ammunition began to run out. Food and water were very scarce. Collateral damage was high. However, despite this, the war in the skies still raged on. Both sides sent airdrops on cargo planes, but those were in just as much danger as the convoys on the ground. The troops were getting desperate. Some troops dropped their weapons and stopped fighting. In other countries the war was still cold, but not as brutal. TUF and Sabarian forces were being sent to other countries, but no reinforcements were able to get to the troops on the ground in Erae. A famous Sabarian armoured division, the 55th Motorized, sometimes called the Lion’s Fist, won many battles with the support of some other soldiers. Being an airborne soldier was basically suicide. Two thirds of all paradrop planes were shot down before they even reached friendly lines. Most who managed to parachute out were scattered and disorganized. The battle in the air costed both factions countless lives. Eventually, after three years of brutal warfare, both sides conceded and withdrew their troops. Very few came back from Erae. A huge obsidian monument now resides in Sabaria’s capital, with the names of all the recorded KIAs from both sides.

The Second Ironcore War:

The Second Ironcore War took place in 2001 and was mostly small attacks on both factions bases, with a few small skirmishes. It only lasted around half a year and wasn’t very damaging. The Wolf Empire and Sabaria have established a weak relationship since then, and both sides give resources and have worked on several joint projects together. The First Ironcore War was much more brutal and was during the time of trench warfare. There were also a few large battles during Second Ironcore War, but most battles were very small.
