In response to a recent meme about one of my favorite interests on SP, no, not aliens! Spy Planes! Area 51 does NOT, I repeat, does NOT, hold aliens. It holds “Skunk Works”, a recently revealed government organization run by Lockheed Martin. They designed the U-2, B-2, F-117, SR-71 and other stealth aircraft. The myth about aliens comes from recently revealed statistics, which show that over 50% of UFO sightings in the US during the 50s and 60s were in fact the spy planes mentioned above. So how do you like dem apples.
@JamesBleriot You're forgetting something.The MIB/Men in Black.
I like Dem pears
We are making ufos @CruzerBlade
@CruzerBlade no we are parasites that are slowly driving ourselves towards extinction by rising climate temperatures
so we are aliens @JamesBleriot
Yes, yes we are. (God bless the USA plays in the background) @CruzerBlade
so are we basically making our own UFOs
K
.
I'm still gonna go there to meet them ayylmaos
I agree, but Aliens are not at Area 51. @RailfanEthan
aliens do certainly have a chance of existing. Take a look at how big space is. There's bound to be life somewhere in it. We weren't the first successful life, probably.
Read what I said again. No aliens, no UFOs, just a big hoax masterminded by the government. We cannot even begin to imagine how much control the government has over our thinking.
@JamesBleriot
I have a mountain of evidence to contradict that. Declassified CIA documents, statements from former employees, I could go on and on. Here is a place to get started. https://www.britannica.com/place/Area-51 @Awsomur
I don’t believe in aliens, but I do believe in UFOs. Allow me to explain:
.
Around the 40s and 50s, sci-fi books and stories became massively popular. Stories about “little green men” were all the rage, and the government saw an opportunity. Around the same time, people started seeing “flying saucers” in the sky. My theory is that the government, influenced by a researcher or a group of people, started a large social experiment by instigating these sightings.
.
A few cases were just people that were too paranoid and mistook a plane for a spaceship, but there’s too many strange incidents regarding the military and government rushing to cover up “crashed objects” and things of that nature. The Keksburg UFO incident is the best example of this. You should watch this video; it’s very intriguing and gives a great explanation of what happened. There’s no doubt that something was there. Same thing with Roswell. The alien dissection tape? Admitted to be fake by the creator, but it’s just one more piece of the experiment.
.
Area 51 is the ultimate part of the ruse. A top secret base, in a barren desert, with many large hangars and a spooky name? There’s nothing in there but old junker airplanes, but it’s needed to keep the interest in aliens alive.
.
I for one am all in favor of this plan. It has inspired a lot of really great media and given a lot of people who witnessed it the story of their lives.
.
Now if you’ll excuse me, the CIA is at my door.
@JamesBleriot
People who didn’t have clearance for the project believed that they were aliens. If the government had aliens it would have been released long ago. @Awsomur @JamesBoA
So you’re saying....
alien planes?
