I just accidentally did a Pugachev Cobra in an aircraft which didn't have THRUST VECTORING!
What kind of witchcraft is this?!?!
Though seriously. I was just flyin' around with smoke trails on and then I decided to do a hard turn. Then I added some Trim for more tight turning, and then I went past the 90° angle...
AND BAM!
Pugachev Cobra. Then I just tried to pitch down and managed to continue flying straight, then I started rolling, then I counteracted it and continued flying normally.
I know, but it wasn't a Russian aircraft. And yes, the aircraft was pretty unstable, although a bit more stable. @RAF1
Thrust vectoring is not necessary for Pugachev’s cobra. The maneuver was first demonstrated with a model of Flanker which did not have augmented thrust. All that is needed is an aerodynamically unstable aircraft.

ok bernie sanders, very cool
However I have to do it again to make sure this is reproducible!
EDIT: Yup, can confirm I can do this multiple times. Now the party is starting.
