I recently started playing Airline Empires and have brought the Rainier brand to the airline world with Rainier Air! In my first run at the game, Rainier Air went broke twice, but after filing for bankruptcy and starting over again, I finally have a successful airline! I operated I think like 6 airplanes (Dash-8-300s & Do-328JETs) on my first run and a ton of routes around the PNW including Sea-Tac/KSEA airport (Holy crap Sea-Tac gate leasing fees are INSANELY expensive!!!!), which absolutely killed me and quickly ran my money dry. So on my second run, I decided to go with just one plane that was smaller, more efficient, and easier to maintain (a Beechcraft 1900C) and I only had routes going to and from 4 smaller-but-still-pretty-big airports, and absolutely avoided Sea-Tac at all costs (damn gate leasing fees).
You can find my airline page here. Rainier Air flies to and from Portland (KPDX), Spokane (KGEG), Bellingham (KBLI), and my home base/HQ Wenatchee (KEAT), which is right next-door to Rainier Aerospace in Moses Lake (KMWH). Rainier Air operates a single Beechcraft 1900C with 19 seats and a "on-the-house" in-flight service (everything is basically free), and plans on expanding to more routes & airports, acquire more aircraft such as more Beechcraft 1900C/D's, King Airs, 99's, Cessna 208B Grand Caravans or even the Viking Air DHC-6-400 (which is a damn mighty fine aircraft). I also intend on making this an official FSX virtual airline with a proper website, and if you have FSX, you can probably fly for Rainier Air!
@Bman01
Cool!
I own one in the game now aswell pan Florida
Also every time I make more profit, I get taxed more heavily. Damn government! lol
I just added a PC-12 to my fleet (on lease) to fill in more unused spots on my routes. I was going to go lease a brand new Cessna Caravan until I saw 2 PC-12's on the used market that were an absolute bargain and far cheaper to buy or lease than the Cessna Caravan, so I went for that instead. My airline started losing money again so that's why I picked up another plane, and hopefully my profit will go up from the new routes & more spots being used up on current routes.
@DuckMint
Idk then. It's working for me; although today it's being really really slow for me.
@JohnnyBoythePilot ikr
@JohnnyBoythePilot Nope, New Zealand
@DuckMint
Weird. Are you in the EU by any chance?
Their website is down :(
@BlackhattAircraft
Well that's weird.
@JohnnyBoythePilot the website wont load
@thefalkenreich
If I get another plane it's probably gonna be a Cessna 208 Grand Caravan, since they are dirt cheap to buy and operate, and they haul a lot of people for their size.
@BlackhattAircraft
What do you mean it won't work?
@thefalkenreich
No you can't get it on steam. It's an online browser-based game/sim. And the last time I had more than 1 plane I went bankrupt. My airline is barely making a profit with just the 1 plane and few routes I have.
@JohnnyBoythePilot I got it, but the website wont work
@ACEPILOT109 @thefalkenreich @BlackhattAircraft
The game/sim is completely free. Give it a try, it's real fun. You'll probably go bankrupt at least 1-3 times before you get it right.
I just registered, but I have no idea what I'm doing
Does anyone remember Pocket Planes?
RYANAIR RIP OFF! lol, that game looks fun, Is it free?
