I've wanted to get it for a while, but it costs $60 USD on Steam. Also, please give me your opinion in a number between 1 and 10, with 10 being great and 1 being terrible.

I know NMS has gotten a whole mess of major updates that brings it closer to how the game was marketed, but it still being sold for $60 is absurd. If the price was closer to $40, then I'd say pick it up.
I have heard it is quite a lot better than when it was first released (which 99.9% of players thought was absolute gabrage) But is it work the $60 price tag? Probably not. I would just say to wait for a sale or not buy it at all.
Getting a PS4 is actually a great idea. If you buy one someday, definitely get the Spider-Man game. It’s spectacular. They might even make a version bundled with NMS.

@Awsomur Thank you for helping. I will take your advice into consideration. I would probably be more likely to get it if I already had a PS4, because that version is a third of the price.
There’s a major difference:
.
Minecraft, although procedurally generated like NMS, has specially designed biomes, creatures and structures. Even though each one is locked into a specific design, it’s a wide range of elements in the game.
.
No Man’s Sky is 100% random, but surprisingly a lot of stuff ends up looking the same. If you expect to see a wide variety of planets, then lower your expectations because they’re all pretty much just the same.
@ArcturusAerospace
@Awsomur From what I've seen, it seems like Minecraft in survival, but with more dangers and an actual story to it.
I played it when it came out. I still have it but haven’t launched in a long time.
.
Although updates may have improved it, the core gameplay is still the same, redundant cycle.
@ArcturusAerospace
@Awsomur When was the last time you played? I've looked at other reviews and they get better as of the NEXT update. Also, can you give me the rating as a number between 1 and 10?
No, the game sucks. It gets old after a few days; and is not worth $60.
