I was so incredibly happy and excited when the update came out and added a day and night cycle, the new island, whether, and many new items on the sandbox mode. However, I was a little disappointed to discover that there was only different amounts of clouds and fog. That is why I would like to make a suggestion for more or improved weather. I would like for some rain during the 'stormy' weather setting, and perhaps some far off lightning and thunder and waves in the water. This would all be able to be separately controlled, and I think would just make the Simple Planes experience that much better. Be sure to include your own ideas in the comments section.
@Viper28 sonic booms? Really? Do you even know how many times we would have broken it before lift off?
Clouds you can actually, you know, FLY THROUGH would be nice. I hate the fake clouds that rise to keep you from reaching them.
@DeezDucks Ah that's a good point. Maybe have the pc version have a few more things than the mobile versions because of the difference in gpu/cpu

@JovianPat break apart in really bad situations maybe, but mostly if a plane can't handle it it will be unflyable and explode when it crashes into a mountain
Maybe lightning strikes and big hail stones that can damage planes and cause engines to break or fuel to leak. Also needs an area on airfields where you can refuel and repair. Maybe a solar panel block too and electric motor and batteries. And an autopilot, could set records for flight duration if there was a leaderboard

Maybe a turbulence is good on a stormy weather, and it gets worse and worse as you fly higher.

Keep in mind that wave animations would lag a lot of mobile devices that aren't top tier. If the devs were to add wave animations they would either have to keep it to a minimum or have it as an switchable option.
