The armed forces of the Saltwater Carrier Nation are about to begin Exercise Tigerfish. The exercise will revolve around two fleets "engaging" each other in an effort to sink the others vessels.
.
Red Fleet:
USS Indomitable and SWS Swiftsure (carriers).
SWS Dreadnought (aircraft cruiser).
SWS Victorious and USS Marlin (destroyers).
SWS Phantom (attack submarine).
Four minesweepers and four torpedo boats from the Saltwater Navy.
Black Fleet
SWS Indefatigable and SWS Retribution (carriers).
SWS Meteor (aircraft cruiser).
SWS Kingdom and USS Gerald Routhe (destroyers).
SWS Thunderer (attack submarine).
Three Saltwater Navy minesweepers and one Warburg Navy minesweeper.
Four Saltwater Navy torpedo boats.
The vessels will "fight" with computer simulated weapons until one fleet loses both carriers. At the point the exercise will be concluded. The Conegsreich Republic and Warburg are both invited to sign up vessels to the exercise.
@Jim1the1Squid
Thank you for your contribution. The James Freestone will not be needed, however, as all destroyer slots are now full.
Indomitable is a nuclear powered supercarrier
Marlin is a heavy destroyer
Gerald Routhe is a Guided Missile Destroyer
Warford is a Minesweeper
James Freestone is a Destroyer Leader
@Jim1the1Squid Well, the Cavalier is part of our navy, so that won't qualify, and we aren't using "big gun" vessels in this exercise so send the alternatives.
What type of ship is each vessel?
USS Fortitude (BBHN-6)/SWS Cavalier, USS Indomitable (CVN-17), USS Marlin (DDH-161) and USS Gerald Routhe (DDG-979), and the USS Blackstone (CA-1).
I'm not sure if the Blackstone and Fortitude/Cavalier will qualify. the Fortitude/Cavalier is a Nuclear powered battleship, and the Blackstone is an armored cruiser.
If need be, I will replace them with the USS Warford (AMS-34) and the USS James Freestone (DDL-592)
Once the fleets are complete I'll work out a winner and release the results of the exercise a few days later.
