At 09:30 on the 24th of August the SWS Avenger detected a fleet of eight Brotherhood of Chaos destroyers and a pair of landing platform docks heading for NovrdLisch. The SWS Repulse scrambled eight Dark Arrows and ten Osprey II strike fighters to intercept. Diving to attack the Ospreys damaged two destroyers and sunk another. The Dark Arrows obliterated a LPD with semi-nuclear cannon fire. One Dark Arrow and two Osprey IIs were shot down by SAMs.

The enemy fleet turned towards NovrdLisch but was driven back by the Albacore-class submarine SWS Phantom as well as by fire from shore-based Hellfire MAD-T defence turrets. Heading back towards the main Task Group the destroyers launched a pair of attack helicopters to try and clear an escape route, but, screened by a force of six torpedo boats, the Vengeance-class aircraft cruiser SWS Buccaneer and New Albany-class frigate SWS Kestrel had positioned themselves 90 degrees from the Task Group and launched a pair of Osprey IIs, as well as a wave of cruise missiles. These fighters quickly despatched the Chaos helicopters and attacked the enemy destroyers, damaging another. The destroyers turned once more and fled, firing as they went. Unfortunately a lucky shot penetrated the SWS Buccaneer's hangar, destroying one of her UH-60 Black Hawks and badly damaging the second.

At that moment the Devestator-class destroyer SWS Kingdom and the force of torpedo boats attacked. First the SWS Kingdom fired two waves of anti-ship missiles, then the torpedo boats fired their own missiles and engaged in a torpedo duel, destroying three destroyers for the loss of one of their own. The SWS Kingdom claimed another.

Then a wave of Ospreys from the SWS Swiftsure swooped in bomb heavy, escorted by a flight of Peregrine fighters. They sunk a pair of destroyers that had become separated from the main fleet, the Peregrines making their own attacks as well.

The two remaining enemy vessels were funneled away from NovrdLisch by the Saltwater Task Group, protected by two old diesel-electric U-Boats. One submarine, acting as rear-guard for the retreating Chaos vessels, was detected by the Scorpion-class torpedo boat SWS Vixen. The Vixen dropped a barrage of six depth charges on the submerged killer, puncturing the submarine's pressure hull, forcing her to the surface. Taking fire from the U-Boat's deck guns the torpedo boat swung around and charged again, returning fire with her 20mm cannons and unleashing a pair of torpedoes, one of which struck home and destroyed the submarine.

As the New Albany-class frigate SWS Echo and the torpedo boats pursued the Chaos vessels, firing off torpedoes and missiles at intervals, a force of MiG-17 aircraft appeared on radar. The frigate's air cover, two Peregrine air superiority fighters, were quick to prosecute the MiGs with a barrage of long-range missiles, destroying them all. Around the same time, as night was falling, a S-3 Viking from the SWS Repulse destroyed the second Brotherhood submarine.

At 07:50 the next day a Peregrine fighter on reconnaissance duty sighted the remaining Chaos vessels and alerted the nearest allied vessels, a flotilla of three Conegsreich Republic Genesis-class destroyers, to their presence. At 08:45 the destroyers each fired five LRSS/ASM missiles at the destroyer and LPD, sinking both of them. The Conegsreich vessels picked up survivors which were then transferred to the SWS Swiftsure. After interrogation, in which no evidence of the fleet's origin was gained, all survivors were taken to NovrdLisch by Osprey tilt-rotor. However once in prison 89% of survivors committed "Rapture ".

The Saltwater Navy Task Group has launched RSD.1 Nemesis scout drones to attempt to locate the Brotherhood of Chaos's home port.
