Here some people have given their opinion on the case of theft of 3D models

-Beluga: No, they copied planes, even though it was on another site he still stole without giving credit. And on top of that he was selling them for $5 dollars each.

-Salt: i think it is likely that they are a lurker, someone that downloads planes but never makes any of their own
-Me: and part of "active"?
-Salt: probably not active in the sense that they make their own builds/forum posts/videos
-Me: someone who has no account but is active seeing forums and taking care not to be discovered?
-Salt: that's also possible, if they do have an account it is probably empty

i'm probably not a very good person to interview about this because i don't know a lot about what happened, i haven't seen the guy's page before it was deleted or anything, and i don't know who has
-Me: If no one had been uncovered would he continue to steal creations?
-Salt: apparently not since his page was quickly deleted after he was called out on the forums
-Me: If SR2 had this feature would it do that?
-Salt: maybe not him, but now with the idea out there, i'm sure someone else will try
i don't have sr2 so i wouldn't know but i assume they also have the feature of taking the 3d model of the build

-Salt: don't think anyone in the right mind would have bought them. there are much better quality models out there than can be built in sp
it seems to me that the guy was just desperate to make a quick buck
-Me: how many people do you think reported him?
or him deleted account?
-Salt: even though many people seem to feel strongly about the issue, i don't believe that many reported him (maybe less than 10). most of the sp community probably does not have a sketchfab account and i don't think they'd make one just to report the guy. it's more likely that he deleted his account under pressure after seeing the forum post

or use as a decoration for yourself?

-Salt: obviously i disapprove of stealing other people's builds and selling them yourself, but if you mean 3d printing by using as a decoration, i don't see a problem with it, i don't do it myself though.
actually there used to be a website where you could order a 3d printed model of your own build, but i guess it shut down a while back.
