Bonneville Salt Flats
Well, since I was congratulated on reaching silver, and I hadn't really thought about it; I realized that a lot of folks have a tribute build. So I was trying to think about something silver I could give you folks.
It also seems like a lot of folks really are into nostalgia of different things, so I figured salt is kinda silver, and so here you have the Bonneville Salt Flats. I apologize in advance for the reduction in scale, but my little lappy will only do so much, and got stuck ~1hr into the larger builds. Also, mistakes were made, and now the foothills have plants!
(Warning: You will randomly start in the water, but you can fly up to the Salt Flats via float plane and save your location there.)
(If folks are into a designer with this is the background, let me know!)
Upvote if you appreciate, and I'm off to optimize my earlier works! Enjoy!
@Cadin test my speed challenge I got 840mph on runway tell me speed if u do try it thx
@Cadin NEED ANDROID JUST DO ANDROID PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASE
@XXmlgcaterpillarxX @Smoker I will likely do android when I re-release this with some different smoothing techniques. Oh, how you grow!
Android please and can you make a ai mod
@BaconEggs Hmm... I don't know where to find it, I'm guessing it would be the developers project and scene files from Unity, with each island being it's own scene... but really I'm just guessing; that's probably a question for the dev's to field. Good Luck!
@Cadin You know where to find it?
@BaconEggs Ah, Ok. Yeah, you would have to get the build file.
@Cadin I know all that, I'm talking about the map that comes with the game.
@BaconEggs Heya, I'm not sure exactly what you mean by default map scene, but I use the inspector tab when highlighting an object, and then you can set position, and determine rotation and such. Let me know if this was too vague!
Cough android Cough Cough
So I figured out Unity mostly, do you know how to access the default map scene? I'm trying option B, where I'm making edits to the airport runway and taxiway positioning.
@Tully2001 On the terrain component, select the cog icon for settings. At the bottom you should find Terrain Width, Terrain Height and Terrain Length settings. Use these to scale the terrain.
@Tully2001 I tried that too, but the "hard" settings will pull it back. It is on the bottom part of the Settings (Gear) tab. I think the defaults are W: 500, L: 500, and H: 300; to help you find it. (I'm pretty sure these are in meters)
@Tully2001 It took me awhile to find it too, I was getting frustrated trying to match the terrain on the edges, and ended up just scaling! You can find it in Terrain in the Inspector, under the Gear thingy (it's fun to manipulate the height scale as well, and is how I "tamed down" some of my earlier builds.)
Thank you @Cadin
@saturn28 Thank you!
@PilotOfFuture I will, it needs a bit more work, but perhaps this eve.
Now all we need is an Area 51 since we know it does exist and its existence has been declassified.
@Tully2001 you must go into the terrain settings.

@Cadin, could you please make some more androind maps? Your maps look so awesome but i cant use them :(
