Jet Engine
Update 20 October 2021:
1. Painting was fixed. Now engine have same colors like game part:
2. Jet Engine part not highlited anymore.Every time when you will move mouse cursor over part you will see error in console log:
I dont know the reason of this error. This error exist only in Designer.
3. Fuel consumption was removed. Jet engine not consume fuel anymore. Some users complained about 100% fuel level always.. For this reason i make a decision to remove fuel consumption at all. Unfortunately, SimplePlanes Mod Tools dont allow to create fuel consumption for custom parts like this jet engine. But you need fuel to run the engine. If your airplane have no fuel at start, you can not start the engine.
4. Android version was removed. Steam version was added.
SimpleWings modpack V.1.2 contains this mod: LINK
Update 1 June 2019. Version 1.1:
Added attribute is nozzle flap enabled
. The flaps enable and disable only when you load the aircraft or start the level.
Hello!
I present to you my new mod: Jet engine:
This mod add in game jet engine with thrust vectoring.
You can find high and low quality engine in Propulsion category:
High quality Not recommended for android users
:
Low quality:
Low quality model have a Primary and Trim1 paint:
Engine have a two mode: non-afterburner mode and afterburner mode.
Afterburner mode active if Throttle > 80%.
Thrust force in non-afterburner mode: 8000 kgF (if powermultiplier=1).
Thrust force in afterburner mode: 15000 kgF (if powermultiplier=1).
The thrust force in afterburner mode are equal the thrust force of BFE150.
The fuel consumption in afterburner mode more in three times than in non-afterburner mode.
The power multiplier increase thrust force and fuel consumption.
Fuel consumption in non-afterburner mode: 2 liters per second (if powermultiplier=1).
Fuel consumption in afterburner mode: 6 liters per second (if powermultiplier=1).
Fuel indicator is not work and have only 2 value: 100% of fuel and 0% of fuel. You can not know your current fuel level with this engines.
Also, the fuel consumption with 2/4/6/8... count of engines will be equal. It's not a bug, it is a feature. I mean that it is no matter, have your airplane 2 o 16 engines: the fuel level will be 0 in both cases in the same time.
After you copy engine of drag from propulsion category will be only one nozzle flap:
But after your start or reload the aircraft, the count of nozzle flaps will be right.
@Realturtlecat nah
@miloeid14 you can download mods for mobils (although im not sure if this mod is mobile supportive)
@Realturtlecat no
Is it for mobile
@Aviator720 How do you download this exactly on mobile?
@Aviator720 fr?
@gionee
YES!!!
@ItapilotSP2023 NO!
I found it
Wait
Can someone help me? the mod is not appearing in the propulsion category
@MOPCKOEDNISHE don't know what old bad code you speak of. I'm working on addapting it into the F-135 engine.
Does it support android?
@MOPCKOEDNISHE Ok, I understand
@PlaneFlightX I have no plans to update this mod. This mod is old with bad code. Also, now im creating drag parachute.
@MOPCKOEDNISHE Okay, could it possible be a new feature with a future update? As well as making a few things work with Funky Trees? I really see some potential with this mod.
@PlaneFlightX No
@Wellidowner There isn't unfortunately. If the thrust scale slider supported funky trees, then a code based on altitude would work, but since that slider doesn't support it, there is no way.
Cheers! Is there also a way to make its thrust scale with height?
@PlaneFlightX
@MOPCKOEDNISHE Question - I'm making a jet engine using this mod. Is there any way to change the color of the exhaust?
@Wellidowner There is a way. Go into Overload, and go to the input controller for Throttle. Set the max input to 0.75. Afterburner disabled. I also recommend using the code of 0.03 + Throttle in the input, and have the engine input have an activation group or variable.
@Wellidowner No, its unpossible to disable the afterburner. The afterburned hardcoded into the code.
@MOPCKOEDNISHE Hi, i really like the exhaust trial and sound, and reminds me of old turbojets. I wanted to use it on a sort of b-52 type thing, but i cant have the afterburners. Is there a way to disable the afterburners?
@PlaneFlightX Mod was updated. Please, read the description and check your airplanes. Dont forget to delete old version of the mod.
Hi,
This is another amazing mod which has become slightly outdated. The sound is excellent, and I have used these on my SWL-120, but the fuel dial is broken (100% or 0%), and the paint is also slightly broken. I'd also love for these to output to variables, similar to the in game engines. It's just that nothing in game matches the engine sound in these, and they are slightly becoming out-of-date.
Appreciate anything you can do.
