Weird Rendering Glitch with Palm Trees?

Idk what’s happening here, it seems like when you look at the trees, they appear 3D, but when you turn the camera, it’s revealed that they actually render in 2D, and take a bit to update their visual model to look 3D again, which allows you to see them momentarily in their 2D form. I usually only play at Wright Airport, and since there aren’t any trees there, I wouldn’t know how long this has been happening, but they’ve always appeared perfectly 3D in the game whenever I play. Is this a glitch? Or is it just something normal that I’ve never noticed before?

For reference, I have all my graphics settings on their highest possible, including Image Effects. (sun flaring, and texture saturation)

Also yeah kind of an unofficial teaser for my Tic-Tac UFO lol

@NexusGaming have you finished that Dumbell UFO you said you were working on? I’d like to see it if so!

@TankerWithATankard Yeah that was JohnnyBoyThePilot’s Tic Tac UFO, however this one in the video is my own.

@JohnnyBoythePilot ehh, I actually kinda think yours is better with looks and appearance, but I will say, and I don’t mean to sound like I’m bragging, mine definitely seems to handle slightly better than yours, although the means of propulsion on both of our Tic-Tacs are vastly different in my opinion, so it might just be because I formatted the controls on mine to be how I like them. Idk lol

Ayy ya joined the Tic Tac gang! This looks a helluva lot better than mine (and actually accurate in size).

@bjac0 not exactly, I’m making the Tic-Tac UFO, a flying craft that can accelerate to insane speeds instantly, along with decelerating instantly as well. It was seen near the USS Nimitz during an F-18 training mission, and when the F-18 pilots were asked to intercept the object, it matched their speed and maneuverability, and essentially played cat and mouse with them for a moment before zipping off at impossible speeds. Another incident occurred with the Nimitz, where one of the ships in her fleet detected four of the Tic-Tac UFO’s on their radar, at around low earth orbit. Suddenly, all four objects had descended to sea level within half a second, and no sonic boom from sound-barrier-breakage was heard. They’re still seen today, droning around and meandering about in our skies; their pilot’s purpose? Who knows? Regardless, it’s clear that regardless of their purpose, we are technologically inferior to these little Tic-Tacs.

    lol
This is a classic example of how "billboard" technique work. (in this case not working properly :P)
Palm trees suppose to always face your POV all the time to make it look like 3D, like having a billboard that always follow you.

Dude I've been playing for months and I just realized yesterday there were houses at bandit because I've never really left Wright except to get locations unlocked. I have no idea how long this has happened

I think it's because when you zoom farther, it turns into a 2d image, but zoom in, and then it's 3d again. That's normal, but what probably happened was that it was delayed a bit.
Well I think that's what had happened
