Just testing something new in the 1.11 Beta.
Aerial refueling to be exact.
This is another level of difficulty, I was holding my breath the whole time.
@Zaineman
I've tried that but it'll work with real time reflection only which my pc cannot afford.
What you see here is just fake reflection the graphic engine gave you unfortunately.
@GuyFolk actually the camera I was speaking of is the green screen, the Chrome looking ball that looks pretty sweet as well I figured you're using that as like a rear view mirror... "Mad Note" = "The Man", "The boss", "The Sh*t",
@Zaineman
Thanks.
Not gonna lie, I have to Google that "Mad note" lol, never heard of that.
And I just want to imitate artificial horizon with that shiny ball but well...
I guess it's ir cam now lol.
@WinsWings If you paint something with 100% metallic and 100% smooth and 0 % emission, If you look "into" or "past" the paint if you will, you can see the simple planes world. Mountains, water, ground. And it all moves as your plane moves. So when you look at it it looks just like an infrared camera image. Use a darker faint green... Cool huh ?
@BBCP117 @rexzion
It's not too difficult with practice I think.
I just recently discovered that lower the stick sensitivity helps a lot, like 70% easier, I tried that on stock tutorial plane and it works for me.
But the biggest problem is judging the depth from a 2D screen lol.
pilots train for like years ofc it's gonna be hard for regular people
i've done it and it's not SUPER difficult but yea you kinda have to activate 100% brain usage lol
@GuyFolk well Pilot's have mastered Formation Flying, plus, they have really great Eye-to-Hand Coordination, not to mention the ease of flying with they're top class Fly-By Wire...
@Nerfaddict
Come to think of it, I might actually can make auto refueling as well because it is just auto aiming plane (which I've made one) with a few extra steps. (Just shift the point of aim and you get an auto formation flying)
@GuyFolk reverse engineered from this
working to make it a "bolt-on" system (it could be put on any aircraft with little to no modification) and to make it more stable and responsive
@GuyFolk surprised that someone can do it while manually controlling their plane
mostly because I found it hard enough that just automating the process via reverse engineered FT code I found was much easier
@BBCP117
I really mean Hornet irl.
Also I just tried tone my stick sensitivity way down and it works far smoother than this video, even with un-assisted drogue.
My biggest issue with refueling is I sometimes over-correct for drift.
@GuyFolk is it in DCS or in real life? if in DCS then he is probably using HOTAS, that way its easier, its what i use, though i either am 7 knots faster than the tanker or a hundred 50 knots slower, its cunfusing sometimes. but what i do is form up with the tanker to match its speed then allign the with the drogue, then the problem is just to stay in that speed to stay in contact.

SU-57: I'm almost as big as you! F-22: Your almost as big as a tanker🤣🤣🤣

@Zaineman "technology transfer" please....lol
@WinsWings this is so cool. Also I like how he made an infrared monitor in his cockpit. I finally learned how to do that as well.
Congrats on sixty K, you are the "Mad Note" lol Z ; ) @Guyfolk
That's awesome @GuyFolk -
@Zaineman look at this
Having a hard time Aerial refueling with my stingray
I'm trying so hard to connect the refuel probe but bro I cant it's too hard
@ShawnJohn20
That'll be a mess, I'm sure.

Imagine doing this in multiplayer...

Link?
That's sound a bit exaggerated to be honest but I'm curious.

me after watching those rudder airbrakes
do it again
Ok thanks @GuyFolk
