PC players can just right click drag to create a copy, widen the fuselage a bit, copy the coordinates of where the fuselage goes and slice it to our liking.
A small suggestion is to open all the fuselage sections before reconnectinglike this
Place it inside the subassembly in the upper left corner.
Then find it in Sub Assemblieslike this
Change the Selected Part under Options in Transform Part to Connected Parts, and then transfer the parts to the same place as the fuselage.
Maybe this can be done faster

set to 0 (keep the weight)calculateDrag
set to false (for reduce lag)@UziDoorman thats is what I usually do, but I always forgot to delete the sub assembly afterwards
