This thread is basically about alternative methods of driving planes forward.
A few well-known examples is the piston engine, the air brake engine, and the gun engine.
Less well-known are the infinite rotators and electric fans using gun engines.
@Visify make quite a lot of decent piston engines. I make a few gun-engines and a few e-fans using gun engine.
I maybe have 1 clockwork (rotator) plane.

Sure. There are plenty of alternative propulsion methods. Speedbrake engine, uh ... infinite rotator engine ... gun engine ...
