This WAS to be instated as a twin thrust vectoring engine design to compliment the failed single engine YF-63 "?" however, the Yf-64; unstable as it was, took the place of the Yf-65. originally the YF64 had no thrust vectoring and was deemed too much a challange to add it. thus, the YF-65 "Mako" project was born. with an increase in funding to the new YF-64 Badger, the Yf-65 Program was scrapped. thus, is free to use now.
