1.3 years ago
Developed as a carrier-based lightweight single engine attacker for the Wright Navy, it proved to be a platform with far more capability than the Navy expected. The automatic flaps proved to make piloting the Gannet easier, mildly reducing work load on pilot and allowing them to focus more on flying. Its light curb weight allowed it to have a max takeoff weight that is more than double its empty weight, allowing for plenty of ordnance and fuel. Its maneuverability was almost on par with that of fighters serving in its time period, and it does excellently as an advarsary in both real and mock-dogfighting. Activate 1 for arrestor hook, 2 to jettison fuel tanks, 3 to jettison Air to Ground ordnance
