It's good to be back.
ADVISE
This aircraft is a draft and is Incomplete, as half way though building I've decided I would like to redo it from the ground up.
Some features of the craft are unfinished such as the cockpit, missile bay, engine performance, and some flight characteristics, other than that it still flies and functions.
Now the reason why I'm posting this craft in its current condition..
I have been wanting for a while to post my creations here, but due to personal anxieties it has been quite difficult to do so, plus I have a horrible habit of letting these creations rot in the hanger never to see the light of day, pair that with procrastination/perfectionism and it becomes a real nasty battle. I also feel like I need to share my creations with the world.
And hey maybe someone might get a kick out of this.
DEVELOPMENT
Now this aircraft took around a month to build; essentially built on the fly and based loosely off my predecessor craft.
The predecessor aircraft in question
This is my most dense aircraft, so much that it has started to stutter and lag my game causing a moderate amount of frustration during building.
While there was no concrete design plan in mind, I did have a vague idea of what I wanted; the control flaps being one of the main gimmicks. There are also subtle subconscious design influences that I took particularly from air superiority fighters, and some fictional aircraft such as the F-19. When I was designing it I was essentially following a "rule of cool" formula while following the flow of the craft. However, I believe this did more harm than good as later on I had to redo the - rear landing gear, twice. Subsequently because of this, I failed to take into consideration on how the gear would work and fold accordingly, this is part of the reason as to why I want to redo because I personally feel like I can do better.
Squadron insignia was drawn by me, currently a placeholder.
Anyways, have fun.
