SMCA FE-14 Goshawk
Description:
SMCA began the development of the Goshawk in early 2020 in response to a request by the East Hamalian Air Force for a replacement for their aging Osprey II strike fighters. The new aircraft needed to be capable of air-to-ground and air-to-air operations and have a maximum speed of 1000 mph. The aircraft needed to be easy to maintain and be able to operate from unprepared airstrips.
An East Hamalian Goshawk closes with an Osprey II tanker aircraft off NovrdLisch.
.
The FE-14 Goshawk first flew in February 2020, but on its third flight the prototype crashed, killing the pilot. The cause was found to be due to structural failure, so the second and third prototypes had reshaped wings, giving the Goshawk its characteristic gull-wing.
.
The FE-14 is a single-seat, twin-jet multirole aircraft with a maximum speed of 1050 mph. Its engines are mounted above the wing, making them easy to access for maintenance and less vulnerable to foreign object damage when operating from unprepared airstrips. Their exhaust is also concealed from heat-seeking missiles by the wing.
Third prototype displays to Brightneau Air Force officials.
.
The aircraft is equipped with six weapons hardpoints and a single 20mm cannon in an external blister. On the opposite side of the fuselage is an advanced targeting pod, also contained in an external blister. The radar is the compact and reliable Blue Wolf, which is capable of look-down/shot-down tracking and maritime reconnaissance. The Goshawk is fully carrier-capable, and East Hamalian examples regularly operate off Saltwater Navy carriers. The airframe is relatively lightweight and compact, so can readily fit into large transport aircraft for long voyages.
.
The FE-14 Goshawk is available for export to all SPMRP nations and costs $17.5 million per unit.

Many thanks to FranzPeterSiegfried and Jokowi for their help with solving some control issues.
Minor buffeting still occurs at low level, but I can't do anymore to fix it without a complete rebuild, and to be honest I think it adds some extra realism.

@Balatu a number of your comment have been removed as they seem to have broken the website rules. You have been issued a strike.
@Balatu
No. Most whites just upload modified stock aircraft, but your upload appears to be good.
@Balatu
I think it's just that you make very good stuff for a white user.
@Balatu
Five of those users I would regard as friends.
@Balatu
I've got that you are asking to be moderated. They exist you know, and won't let you insult users as you please.
@Balatu
Yes. Why?
If you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything.
@RamboJutter
The aircraft you inspired me to build.
It isn't much, but I like it nonetheless.
