Heinkle He Griffin 177
The He 177 prototype fit the requirements for a heavy bomber capable of speeds of 335 miles per hour and a bomb load of at least 4,400 lbs. To achive this, German designers stacked two Daimler-Benz engines, two to a wing, yet in pairs. This arrangement caused numerous engine troubles and often fires. The 177 was defended by its speed and armament. Machine guns where placed in turrets and positioned on the top, bottom, back, and front. While at good defense, the 177 was let down by its faulty engines. To Fly: Power up to 100% and rudder left (flaps). Wait for aircraft to rotate (lift tail wheel). Pull back slowly or the aircraft will stall. Detach gear with 1. Although not as fast as original, (I had to keep it to props) it will climb to 5,000 feet. Hope you enjoy.
