KH-3A Fenghuang - CSAT Combat Drone

A long-range, high-altitude seek and attack drone armed with four Jian ATGMs, the KH-3A Fenghuang is a formidable opponent to any NATO or AAF vehicle.

ArmA 3 Description

"The KH-3A Fenghuang is an unmanned aerial drone based on Chinese design. The UAV adopts the unusual canard layout and is propelled by a pusher engine. This multipurpose drone is equipped with modern tracking and tracing systems, countermeasures and also carries four air-to-ground laser guided missiles."

Roles include observation, laser targeting and air-to-ground fire support.

Gameplay Aspects

This version of ArmA 3's KH-3A is not exactly the same as the original. Things that are hard to measure or find are arbitrarily set, so measures like fuel, speed, weight and coutermeasures do not mirror the game, and are instead set to be more... fun.

The vehicle is pretty simple, so any user can find it with more than 5fps.

Controls

There are pretty simple controls. The drone has automated stabilization, so in level flight all you need to do is move the trim slider. Pitch is normal, but roll is more used like yaw, as there is a limit and keeps pitch normalized. The only activation group is AG7, which turns on all lights.

The optical camera system will automatically, with a small amount of delay, track any selected target. The camera does have a set speed, so will be unable to catch up to targets moving very fast, or very close to the camera.

The next vehicle coming out in this series is likely going to be the A-143 Buzzard. I am working on the WY-55 Hellcat, Rhino MGS, and CH-67 Huron.

Thanks :D
