A prototype multirole combat aircraft, the XM-25 was designed to perform multiple tasks.

It is a light and agile aircraft, with dimensions of 12.7 m in length, 15.9 m wingspan and 3.6 m in height. It is equipped with an eight-blade counter-rotating turboprop engine, which allows it to reach a maximum speed of over Mach 1 and a maximum altitude of 25 to 30 km.

This aircraft has the capability to carry a wide variety of weapons to attack ground, naval or air targets. It has a high positive G-force, which means that it can withstand great pressure on its structure and crew.

In terms of armament, the four pylons (two on each wing) can only carry smaller offensive weapons, while the pylons close to the fuselage can carry larger weapons (limited only by height with the ground).

It can operate from aircraft carriers, which gives it greater mobility and flexibility. Unlike other aircraft, it is capable of operating without using the catapult or hook. In the future it will have a mechanism to fold the wingtips, which will reduce its size inside an aircraft carrier. It is based on the design of the "SNCASO SO.8000 Narval", an attack fighter developed by France in the 1940s.

Despite being an aircraft powered by a counter-rotating eight-blade turboprop engine, it has some advantages, such as its high speed, higher altitude, maneuverability and lightness. But it also has some disadvantages. Being very light and maneuverable, it tends to be a great danger to the pilot because it is not able to withstand so much G-force.

It has excellent maneuverability, allowing it to perform aerobatics and evade enemy attacks. It could serve as an escort for larger and slower aircraft, such as transport planes and strategic bombers, protecting them from air or ground threats.
