Phoenix Industries F-43A Lancer II

14.2k Griffon1  4.4 years ago

Designed by Phoenix Industries Weapons Factory for the country of Accilia, This aircraft was a contender for the Advanced Fighter Base contest. The Advanced Fighter Base program was intended to establish a firm foundation upon which to incorporate fifth generation technologies into their new fighter's design.
The F-43A Lancer II boasts many features to enhance maneuverability in close combat, such as forward swept wings and canards. As with many Accilian fighters, two engines was a necessity. This was to enable the ability of supercruise, a requirement of this competition.
The aircraft has an armament of 14 AMRAAM missiles, and a single Vulcan Rotary Cannon.
(This aircraft uses the default paint scheme because only three prototypes were built, but all were sold in this paint scheme, lacking Accilian markings and paint)
