Prototype multirole fighter, forerunner to the infamous "Slipstream". *Performance and Powerplant*
The aircraft uses a hybrid Turbofan/Turbojet powerplant. AG1 activates and deactivates the turbojets, which give the Starstreak the ability to climb vertically at over 1300mph and maintain level flight at up to 1700mph. *Safety*
AG2 activates the ejection mechanism and AG3 activates the parachute mounted underneath the cockpit.
*Lore and Description*
This variant is unarmed as it was used to test the basic flight characteristics of the airframe. One test flight almost ended in disaster as a turbojet came loose from its mount, tearing the left wing and horizontal stabilizer away with it. The pilot was able to eject, however. The Starstreak enjoyed a successful combat record, first delivered to frontline units in 2045 and helping turn the tide of the Omnic War in Europe (OWE) before being superseded in 2051 by the Slipstream, once it had been stripped of its experimental teleportation matrix following the Oxten incident.
