Homemade Challenge : Build a DiY Airplane!

I decided to make one of these when I got to 2000 points so I present the Homemade Airplane Challenge! I don't think theres enough realistic sketchy DIY homemeade looking planes on this site, so let's fix that! It's pretty simple, you have to make a homemade airplane. It can be from a real design or something you make up (so long as it is realistic). This is different from HOMEBUILT, which just means that the aircraft was assembled by amateur builders from plans or a kit (LongEZ, Subsonix, etc). When I say homemade I mean designed and built from accessible and cheap materials by amateur builders. More of a DIY thing. If you need some exaples google homemade airplane or look up peter sriepol on youtube. Because of the DIY nature of these craft they are very small, light, and slow. And above all cheap.
Right so here's what you need to do.

Requirements:

  1. Needs to fly

  2. Empty weight under 1001 lbs

  3. Single engine with a maximum 100 HP

  4. Max airspeed of 150 mph

  5. Max wingspan of 30 feet

  6. Maximum 750 parts since I'm testing on my phone

  7. I won't put a hard G limit on it but keep the handling realistic. If your plane is doing loops it probably won't qualify.

Everything else is up to you!

Judging:

Looks: 10 pts. Basically a first impression. Does it look like a plane or a brick of cheese?

Build Quality: 10 pts. A closer look at the aesthetics. How well have you made use of the building tools? Did you tuck stuff in nicely? Details? It doesn't have to be a beautiful aircraft, just well done.

Performance: 10 pts. Does it fly? Does it fly well? Most importantly does it land?

Realism: 10 pts. If it's a replica, how well have you replicated the original? If it's an original design, how realistic or rediculous is your design?

Thats a total of 40 in case you're bad at math like me.

Obviously XML is allowed since you need to power down the engines. If you don't know how to do this git gud. Kidding. Select your engine, open overload, go to the drop down menu at the top and select propEngineAdvance. Enter 200 as the value for power, and voila. You're a fancy pants hacker and you have a 100hp engine. No mods though. I would appreciate if entries were successors but I can't really be too hard on anyone about that cause I suck at remembering to do so myself. Prizes are TBD soon I just have to figure out a good scale. They will be updoots and the like. Also everyone gets a 'doot for submitting cause socialism.

Prizes:

1st gets 10 upvotes + a follow
2nd gets 5 upvotes + a follow
3rd gets 5 upvotes

    RESULTS:

    3rd Place: Baconlover51 23pts
    2nd Place: Nightgems 28pts
    1st Place: PapaKernels 28pts

First off good work everyone, all the planes have the vibe I was looking for. First place was actually a tie on points for Nightgems and PapaKernels. I gave it to PapaKernels though because I appreciate the duck taped lawn chair for a captians seat. I feel like that really nails the idea of the challenge being sketchy and homemade. Prizes will be distributed as I am able. Thanks for participating. I know it was only you 3 but I still enjoyed making this challenge.

I should be able to post results on the 3rd unless there's a couple dozen last second entries. So the 3rd.

@Chrisk1993 thanks! Hope it can do well. Made it as ultralighty as I could. Ultralight had some criticism for me so you can look at that when you judge.

@Nightgems it's close enough on the size I'll take it. If you set the engine power to 100hp it qualifies. If you don't know how to change the engine power I put an explanation in the description. Awesome plane either way though it definitely has the look I was lookin for.
