DreamCraft DCA-14S Veter
The DCA-14 Veter
Lore:
In 1993 the Dreisian Air Force needed a new multi-role VTOL capable supersonic fighter jet and DreamCraft Aviation took up on the challenge. The Veter had a long and tedious development since DreamCraft engineers were quite inexperienced with designing VTOL aircraft. The DCA-14 had its first flight in 1994 with its DCA-AB-56-V engine which was an experimental VTOL modification of the popular DCA-AB-56-L turbojet engine. When the first units rolled off the factory lines they were equipped with the more advanced DCA-AB-66-V turbojet which produced more thrust than its predecessor. The jet was equipped with brand new air to air missiles like the DCA-AAM-28 and DCA-AAM-38 and also with the CBM-1 cluster pod.
Controls:
Ag-1: Afterburner at max throttle
Ag-2: Enable VTOL, pull down the VTOL slider for thrust vectoring
Ag-3:
Ag-4: Jettison wing pylons
Ag-5: Unlock nose gear steering with yaw
Ag-6: Jettison cluster pod
Ag-7: Activate cluster pod -> go to air to ground weaponry tab to fire
Ag-8: Lights
VTOL: Flaps and nozzle
Trim: Trim
Thats about everything, hope you enjoy this build and if you do please leave an upvote.

@TheTomatoLover Yeah, i havent fitted any airbrakes on this variant but if i release an updated one i will definetly do that. On landings i didnt seem to have any issues yet but if you were landing at 270mph that might have been the issue since the landing speed is supposed to be around 215mph. Landing gear could be a bit more fragile than usual since its kinda weirdly built up.
Good plane. It handles flight extremely well, though the rolling is quite sensitive, I was able to launch to missiles.
When I decided to land (I took off at bandit, went at 650mph the whole time, until landing; shut off afterburner.) at Yeager. Even at 270mph, the turning, roll was sensitive. My biggest issues were the rudder. That thing was not going to budge in my turns. I was able to get in (almost) line to the landing. Then the landing… Most planes can survive my rough landings, this wasn’t. Maybe it’s due to my laziness of not reading descriptions; (That’s probably why, I didn’t even know how to do thrust vectoring; lol)but I couldn’t even find the air brakes! It was rough. Really bad. The landing gear couldn’t survive, but thank god for that ejection. The cockpit launched itself back.
Good plane overall.
