PX-3B Hammerfall Thunderclap
Capitalizing on the fact that it's motor jet made the Hammerfall an excellent high speed interceptor Soviet engineers added improved motor jets and a second counter rotating piston engine. The second piston engine alone boosted the airplane's speed to 550mph. With it's motor jets active the plane began to kiss the sound barrier at 727mph in level flight, and break trough it in a dive. The now noticeably forward swept wings allowed for the aircraft to remain maneuverable even at these high speeds.
Like the Wingblade the inspiration for this plane came from an idea I had for a comic. I wanted to test to see if the design I came up with on paper might work in real life. Press 1 to activate the jet engines. Airbrakes are operated through the VTOL controls.
