Auto Credit Based on BobTheTitanSP's Fictional Warplane Challenge! (CLOSED)
Built during WWII as both an escort fighter and a long-range attacker, the Bulldog earned its name for one characteristic: its looks. Though unsightly, it proved itself as a fearsome attack craft carrying five machine guns in its nose, and later two more in wing-mounted gun pods. With capacity to carry up to three bombs close to its heart, the P-68 could level nearly any building. While it was slightly unwieldy in a dogfight, it could always use a brute force "boom-and-zoom" tactic to decimate enemy aircraft, then run away thanks to its twin 1950 horsepower radial engines.
