Brief Information

The Oshira-Lockheed Martin M50A Strike Satoko (named after Satoko Hojo from Higurashi no naku koro ni, MAI designation: Ayanami-C, namesake IJN Ayanami, 3rd iteration, Karyan designation GACI.208) is a tandem-seat twin-engine high-wing turboprop attack aircraft built in cooperation with Lockheed Martin. Essentially the redefined attack variant of the M50T Satoko, she sports additional features and upgraded avionics unlike her trainer counterpart.

Design changes were being applied to the M50A variant. They were:

  • Instead of using control surfaces on a horizontal stabilizer, it uses an all-moving elevator

  • Longer wings with a slight outboard forward swept design, with winglets

  • A swept tail. unlike the non-swept one on the M50T

  • Stronger landing gear

  • Also, Oshira's first aircraft to sport a bomb bay, carrying upto 6x 250 pound bombs

She is also to support targeting pods, and to have an integrated 45mm TKsk-G45 cannon with HIEI rounds,

Mainly as a close air support attack aircraft, she sought action during the Second Modern Crusade against the third wave of the Baphometian Satanic Liberation Front. She was never used as Honor Squadron munition.

Development

The Strike Satoko was to extend Poyasakai's GACI line of ground attack aircraft. Alongside the M50T's development during 2005, Lockheed Martin decided to cooperate with Oshira by lending avionics that were being passed on from the F-16, but some were being altered to fit in the airframe.

Within evaluations, the attack variant has the M50T's wings redesigned, will use contra-rotating propellers, and have an internal bomb bay for added versatility, as well as integrating newer avionics. Testing started in 2007.

The Strike Satoko has entered service in 2008, first with the Imperial Arsean Army. Orders await from other Allied countries.

M50A (Attack)

  • 4x ATG-340H

  • 6x M.50 and M.25 GPBs (M.25s are mounted on bomb bay)

  • 4x RU-311 (28 rockets total)

  • 45mm dual barrel TKsk-G45 with HIEI rounds,

  • RAYON DV7 targeting pod

Controls

Same as the M50T, with improved gyroscope. Land in 260kmh descending, make sure to make a smooth touchdown.

Activation Groups

  • AG2 for weapons, also rotates targeting pod camera (responds to roll too)

  • AG3 to open bomb bay

  • AG4 for gyro levelling (also turns on gear and wing mounted lights)

  • AG6 for left engine start, AG7 for right engine start.

  • AG8 for master switch (turned on by default)

Side Notes

Another variant for the Satoko, which is the improvement of her trainer counterpart. Soon, I will expand the Oshira aircraft lineup. By then, I'll see you on the next build, so as always, stay safe and GOD BLESS you, everyone. Aim high, comrades-nanodesu! Nipah~
