Takswagen Boxy GR1
A NEW LEGEND APPEARS
back in the 80's when Takswagen was nothing more than a small design studio, and a workshop, we got our first opportunity to blast into the
motorsport hall of fame. In 1984, a group of managers from The british tobacco company Wickest, galloped into our design center, with a briefcase of money, and a concrete goal
They wanted a car that represents their company in the era's most famous race championship, the group B. They don't really cared much about the car's specs, they just wanted a new
advertising method, like the other tobacco companies had in the 80's
This led us to bring to live our very first car, and production model: The Takswagen Boxy GR1
We truly did our best in research. We observed the era's most succesful rally cars, and tryed to weld their very best characteristics together.
Our engine of choice was the good old 600hp V6 scorpion (Our oldest engine what is still in production) placed transversal into the chassis. We also built in two small turbochargers
as well. So is it more than enough to maintain high speeds on gravel. The Mid engine AWD layout gives an impressive handling capabilities both tarmac & off road.
However the use of lightweight parts like Aluminium framing & fiberglas aero elements, the car is relatively heavy. (1300kg) This sightly affects the acceleration, but this doesn't
bother the top speed at all. The car is still able to maintain the average 220 km/h on the rally stages.
The car achieved a few small wins during the championship. Some stage wins in Africa & Finland. The car was driven by Hilda Einnarsdóttir (Iceland) & Pawel Woznyak (Poland)
Hilda Einnarsdóttir before the start of the Kenya stage 1984

You are allowed a single turbo. Since it doesn’t make a difference I’ll let it pass.

@Soulless_Reaper yeah sorry it went out of my head
@TakicraftCorporation I don’t mean to be a pest of I am Srry but did you forget about the engine I asked for?
Cool
@Soulless_Reaper sure
@TakicraftCorporation can you ping me on one of my builds when your ready cause I don’t get them otherwise anymore :/

@TakicraftCorporation strange I never got the ping from your reply and the idea was mine and umm what’s the biggest car engine you have cause I have a really stupid idea of a car build but I have spent half an hour looking at car engines and non I have found I like and chears and umm how do you add link into and photos into The text like on most of yours? Cause I have like 6 cars I wanna post and it’s gonna be 7 here soon if I can get/find the engine (will edit when remembers)
@TakicraftCorporation yes, im excited to see how mine's will turn out later, mine need some skill to drive :p
@WarshipDude MG metro VS Audi Quattro VS MR2
That's where the fun begins
im liking the odds of the competition at the moment
I see you make an equivalent of an Audi Quattro
While i see Spikerya make an equivalent of a Metro
I wonder if i can fit one of your engine on my car and slap a Turbo or Supercharger...
I got equivalent of an MR2 incoming :p
hope i didn't accidentally make a Group S on the process :p
@SmSmThe10684 Thank you for the fast test. Sorry i haven't seen the turbo regulation. But don't worry they only just decorations. It's easy to balance out the slips, just release the throttle, countersteer, and push it again :)
@Soulless_Reaper sure, the off-road Corvette wasn't my idea anyway... Wide body.... It's not too hard just start to build next to the wheel arches. Angled parts are good choice, and be aware to the. If you need some inspiration, try to gain some from existing cars
Oooo that reminds me do you care if I post a build that is base off the off road corvette you made a wile back? And umm any tips for making a widebody kit?
dammmn, the competition is hard!!
