*a LOT of guesstimates have been used in making this craft, no precise dimensions are available at this time.
The next 'aircraft' from Freelancer.
This is the CTE-6000 "Eagle", another 'civilian' craft.
It is classed as a 'Very Heavy Fighter' or VHF and ranks up there as a heavily armed Fighter.
Missiles are normally held internally and a large number of them, fired via single launcher but for this game, externally mounted is it.
Controls as per normal.
Flies very much better than the Star Blazer.
Will take off without coaxing and flies up slightly.
Load out: Twin Gattling, nose mounted, Twin Heavy Machine Guns, wing mounted. Central 'turret' with modified dual gatling guns.
6 Interceptor Missiles + 2 Guardian.
Many decoy, both chaff and flare.
Weapons load out for guns matches in game mounts as close as I can get.
Link to what it looks like in game (Wiki!) --> A link to a page that has links to the Freelancer Ships that have been made... http://members.iinet.net.au/~swinter2/Discovery%2520Freelancer_SimplePlanes%2520Link.html
Alternate link to Wiki. --> https://discoverygc.com/wiki/Ship_Portal
You will need to scroll a little and click in from there.
NOTE!!!! These are NOT my designs, I have just duplicated them here in SimplePlanes.
So far, all 'Freelancer' craft have been from the 'vanilla' version, but they have been upgraded by various different people to look nice in game.
I wish we could do skins and similar here.
Where possible, the original designers of the vehicles will be credited. :)
Edit: note the creative rear landing gear mounting. It was the only way I could get the wheels to disappear. lol
EDIT2: Changed display name. Will appear on download as Freelancer Discovery CTE-6000 Eagle.

Ah okay :-) :-) @Mickk
@JED That is because it takes the underscores between the words out.
Apparently this forum uses them as special characters to alter how the words look.
I'll figure out something after I get back from work.
Well it does work, but no image shows up @Mickk
@JED Thanks.
It seems the way the web page is named is the problem.
<a href="https://discoverygc.com/wiki/CTE-6000%22Eagle%22CivilianVeryHeavy_Fighter">CTE-6000 Eagle</a>
It should read: https://discoverygc.com/wiki/CTE-6000%22Eagle%22Civilian(underscore)Very(underscore)Heavy_Fighter
I linked you to my profile for an example. @Mickk
Cool. I can tell you how to link a web page, I’ll give you an example. [name](then your link) in the squareish parentheses you put a name of what you want the link to be called, then in the normal parentheses you put the link there. It should look like this JED’s Profile @Mickk
@JED Yes, I was quite impressed myself.
The last one from Freelancer was easy to make fly, but hard to make it fly even as well as it did and that was not very well.
Some of the upcoming craft have very interesting designs which may be difficult to make fly on a normal scale.
So far I have made them similar in size to a 'standard' fighter aircraft or standard for me.
That means 3 full length fuselage parts and move on from there.
Interesting design, it is quite stable :-) :-)
Do you want to put a link in the description? @Mickk
Arg. Can someone tell me how to put a proper URL in on the description?
Thanks in advance.
