The A-1B Pummeler as flown by Lieutenant Valerie Vickers, one of the most decorated pilots in the Paternian Air Force. Although she would go on to fly more advanced types, including variants of the Pummeler, she would have a special fondness for this aircraft, nicknamed "Banshee", as she flew her first combat missions in it. After her unit received new machines, the aircraft remained in the system, and was one of the initial 1,500 aircraft delivered to Auruna.
The machine would see extensive service before being put to storage. It was later purchased by Monsanto who employed it as a cropduster, unaware of its provenance. The aircraft was later retired once more and then purchased by Valerie Vickers herself, who requested this particular machine. Although much of the airframe uses A-1B parts, the propeller is a modern replacement due to difficulty finding original A-1B propellers.

You see, Mach 12 in the air is much slower than Mach 12 underwater, since the speed of sound underwater is much faster. @PyrusEnderhunter
