Penderson PAR Mk.IV
Notes
-Doesn't shoot
-Good gunsights
Designed in 1970 by the Penderson Arms Factory of England, the PAR (Penderson Assault Rifle) series was meant as a substitute or backup AR for NATO. However, plans for the PAR fell behind schedule, and the first production PAR didn't enter service with West Germany until 1980. By then, the more modern designs were taking over, and West Germany sold the PARs back to the company and canceled their orders for any more. However, a company named Argus Arms Engineering bought the license to the PAR series, and began production of their own models. The first true PAR to enter service was the Mk.IV, which first saw combat in the Lycernia-Greenland War (being used by Lycernian troops) in 1985. After they successfully won their independence, Lycernia ordered an order for 600,000 PAR Mk.IV weapons, which were delivered by Argus over the next few months. In 2010 when Penderson went bankrupt, Argus bought all of their designs (including concepts) and began producing weapons exclusively for the Lycernian armed forces. The PAR series, along with the ASMG (Argus Submachine Gun), are still in active service with the Lycernian Army, Navy, and Marine Corps.
