They actually have ammunition for 40 mm and 30 mm cannons the acts just like a shotgun cartridge look up 30 mm shrapnel Canon ammunition. It does a lot of damage the fuselage. Punching a bunch of holes in the fuselage an outer frame of most jets and planes. original used in World War I this ammunition was designed to take out infantry was later developed as in or anti-air ammo. @spefyjerbf
