If you wanna takeoff properly:
You need to use the rudder/yaw to turn the plane right.
If you want to have a gun rectile:
There's an hidden camera in the canopy but you can find it easy when you use x-ray mode. Then, if you found the camera, go to "Part Settings". Then, you can enable the gun rectile in the Part Settings.
