The Hopper was designed as a small commuter aircraft that could take people easily from city to city. Powered by 2 T3000 engines it was powerful and practical. The plane was easily recognized by its gear system that had to be operated separately, making it one of the planes disadvantages. It's a rare sight today, since the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 and ATR 72 are more popular among airliners
