Anti-aircraft turret [Challenge Entry]

5,987 thebanbehindtheslaughter  4.2 years ago

Update: please download this updated version.
Simple, yet functional manual anti-aircraft turret.

Armament:

20mm gatling cannon with 2500 rounds;
30mm FlaK cannon with Funky Trees proximity fuse;
2 countermeasure dispensers with 32 flares in total.

Controls:

Pitch and Roll to traverse the turret vertically and horizontally: both inputs are smooth, so they are a bit slow, but provide better control of the turret for mobile users.
I didn't make lots of details for it, but there is a small door at the back of the turret, and the gun section is colored differently from the base.

Enjoy.

    @NormalPioneer honestly i don't understand the 150 minimal part count. it's too much. an aa gun consists of a gun and a turret. how is it possible to fit in 150 parts? if it was a plane challenge, i would understand, but the 150 part count minimum for a turret? too much tbh

    @NormalPioneer thanks. i am sorry for limited up mobility and for limited horizontal traverse, though.

    @M7MD_E04 @banbantheman I would actually recommend this function for turrets:
    clamp(sum(Pitch),-1,1)
    sum(Roll)

    Finally someone who actually use smooth for turrets, idk why people keep using the normal pitch-roll input it's so slippery to use
