Fictional History
This odd aircraft is somewhat related to the more common Halifax class of bombers. The Regina had a unique sideloading mid-body bay to load both troops and cargo. Theoretically, this allowed quick loading and offloading times. In practice this worked well for ground-based cargo missions but opening the side doors in flight for the partroops was very dangerous due to turbulence. To counter this for D-day ops, the Regina used a system of pistons and launch "pods" to assist troop drops. Troops would often refer to the Regina as the "Hobo Express" due to its boxcar like appearance.
Creator's Notes
In the midst of the world's weirdness, I finished this one well before July. I decided on no lettering or numbering as suck at those, and I did my best on the cockpit (still not my strong suit). Had some issues with the rear turret that I couldn't quite resolve. Despite my half decent PC had some slow down in the creation, so be careful there. I tried to keep its size fairly realistic at least, and it does line up with some of the versions of the real Halifax. Otherwise, I'm pretty proud of this one.
