The 105mm Howitzer M484 is a modification of the Cedco Paternia 5-ton M26 cargo truck. Said modifications include improved auxiliary power, reinforced truckbed, safe stowage bin, and an M305A1 howitzer on a rotating platform. To ensure a more compact size, the gun has been mounted backwards. The M484, while unprotected against virtually anything, is a powerful and highly mobile self-propelled artillery system with integrated targeting systems from the M305A1. During the Japan and GLA conflicts, the M484 has proven to be a useful addition to Paternian forces. While not designed for direct fire, it has been employed in this role with additional armor for the cab and a large three-sided gun shield.

I assume that yours is designed by engineers and technicians to be able to fire forwards and probably comes as a kit or straight from the factory, while mine is a modification made by mechanics from a regimental or divisional maintenance depot that later became manufactured as kits.
