History: The Supermarine Strafe series was meant as a line of attack aircraft to neutralize convoys (ships and land-based vehicles), destroy cargo trains, destroy airfields, and other dangerous missions. It say one pilot in a strange configuration, seeing as the cockpit was inside the fuselage with no forward-facing canopy for the pilot. Instead, the pilot would use a periscope to find their targets. It was equipped with eight Browning machine guns in the wings and had seven hardpoints on the aircraft. It was used, to great effect, by the RAF, RAAF, RN, RNZAF, RDAF, SAF, FAF, RCAF, Armee de l'Air, and RNAF.

*airborne
@DestinyAviation so it's like a aurborne submarine attacking transport aircraft? XD
Still, it would be quite dangerous @DestinyAviation
This wouldn't really take off from aircraft carriers, mostly from land-based airfields @PINK
It also makes landing more dangerous, especially for a naval aircraft. @DestinyAviation
That is an interesting design
Nice! It looks a lot like my seafire :3
Well, it does give the aircraft a lower profile, more protection from frontal attacks to the aircraft (a head-to-head attack with an enemy aircraft). @PINK
....Bad idea. @DestinyAviation
Through a periscope @PINK
Why is it cockpit so low, how can he/she see forwards?
