Background

The IV.M. 45E was a low wing twin seater touring Seaplane.The project started as a torpedo bomber in 1924 but after testing it was decided to continue the project as a civilian plane.

Due to its role,and because of a legislation put up by the SRCAC (Sclipese Republic Civilian Aviation Committee) that prevented Civilian floatplanes from being faster than 240 kph,the plane was limited to a max speed of 188~ kph.

It was powered by a D.M.S. 56 Tartaro V8 inline engine. Each of the models sold to Civilians must have had a yellow wingtip and a black one to indicate to authorities that it was a civilian aircraft,just like fighters had white and black wingtips.

This model was bought by Mario Locolo,a fisherman from Adulone,who painted the plane blue so it would fit better with the sea,and used the plane to travel on occasional trips.

How to take off:

Turn on engine (Ag1) 100% throttle

Pull up at 140 kph or pull up slightly from 90 kph

Put Trim to your liking

I don't recommend pulling acrobatics in this,i mainly used it for touring with autopilot on.

How to land:

Throttle down to 30% and try to maintain speed above 100 kph

Turn off engine
